In the heart of Kielce, a new place has emerged that redefines the way we think about dining out. Sztuczki Restaurant is a culinary novelty that focuses on food sharing – the idea of tasting and sharing dishes together at one table.
In a modern yet cozy interior, instead of the classic “starter-main course-dessert” set, guests order several different plates and share them, tasting and commenting together. It’s the first place of its kind in Kielce, breaking away from tradition and inviting people not only to eat, but to truly experience food – together.
Location
Sztuczki restaurant is located at 29 Sienkiewicza Street, right on Artists’ Square. The space used to house an art supply store. If you’re not from Kielce, the easiest way to get there is to walk down the promenade and turn onto Artists’ Square. Pass Plac Cafe – and you’ve arrived!
If you’re coming by car, the most convenient parking is the municipal lot by the City Hall. You can also try Staszica Street (Paid Parking Zone), though finding a free spot there can be tricky.
Sztuczki and Their Interior
Sztuczki Restaurant features an intriguing interior filled with art – but more on that in a moment. I’m not an expert in naming interior design styles, but here I’d say it’s both modern and cozy. The chairs are comfortable, and the finishing touches fit together perfectly. Once inside, it’s worth noticing the huge, colorful mosaic, custom-made especially for the restaurant, which decorates the bar (pictured below).

Food Sharing – “Small Plates”
Food sharing – the idea of enjoying dishes together at the same table – is a trend gaining momentum worldwide, and Poland is no exception. It’s not just about a more economical way of dining, but above all about the social value of sharing food. In restaurants that follow the “shared plates” concept, dishes are served in portions designed for everyone to try, so guests can sample a variety of flavors in one sitting. Ordering together also helps avoid the disappointment that comes when a friend’s dish looks more tempting than your own.
This approach works perfectly for both friends and families, encouraging relaxed tasting and culinary exploration. It reflects the philosophy of food as a social experience rather than simply a way to satisfy hunger. Sharing plates fosters conversation, breaks down barriers, and offers a deeper understanding of a place’s culture – especially when the dishes are inspired by local ingredients and traditional recipes. At the same time, it changes the way we order: it opens diners up to new flavors while also helping manage portion sizes, which can reduce food waste. Food sharing is not only trendy but also a sustainable way to bring people together around the table.

What Did We Try?
We came in with high expectations – and I can already say the restaurant definitely delivered. Of course, we couldn’t settle on just one dish; that’s the whole point of places like this. From the cold plates we went for tomato tartare, hummus, and the intriguingly named “not-tuna.” The tartare was light and refreshing, the hummus spot-on, but it was the third option that really stole the show.
The “not-tuna” turned out to be roasted watermelon served with burrata, arugula, and a mustard dip – surprising, creative, and absolutely delicious! As for the hummus, it was a classic done right, but with a twist: the addition of an ajitama egg yolk, which gave it an extra layer of flavor and depth.
From the Warm Plates
From the hot side of the menu we picked chicken satay, potato noodles, zucchini fries, and duck fillet sous-vide. The chicken was tender and flavorful – gone in no time – but it was the sauce that stole the spotlight and had everyone talking! The zucchini fries were light and pleasant (I definitely need to try making them at home). The duck fillet was simply perfect: crispy panko on one side, gently topped with onion mousse on the other – an unexpected but really tasty combo.
But the true surprise among the warm dishes were the potato noodles. The presentation was modern and creative, yet the taste instantly took me back to the comfort of home cooking. Definitely my top comfort food of the evening!
And Then Came Dessert…
As you know, dessert has its own separate stomach – so even after all that food, we couldn’t resist something sweet. We shared a rum baba, pistachio cream, rhubarb crumble, and a seasonal creation: strawberries with white asparagus mousse! That last one was the biggest surprise – who knew asparagus and strawberries could be such a great match? Among the more classic desserts, my personal winner was the pistachio cream. Rich, full of flavor, and topped with delicate strands of “halva hair” – that’s the one I’ll be ordering again next time for sure!

Art at Sztuczki
Sztuczki is more than just a place to share a meal with friends. The restaurant also doubles as an art gallery under the name Eviva l’arte. Run by local Kielce artists, it showcases their works right on the walls around you. Although the initiative is still in its early stages, the first vernissage has already taken place. The artists promise that the art on display at Sztuczki will keep changing and surprising visitors, adding an extra layer of inspiration and enjoyment to the time spent here.

More Deliciousness!
A visit to Sztuczki is a great experience both socially and culinarily. Every dish piqued my curiosity, and I’d happily return to each one! The beautiful interior, along with the promise of regularly updated menu items, makes this place even more appealing. Located in the heart of the city, it tempts guests with its flavors and stunning presentation. In our opinion, this combination is a recipe for success—and soon, getting a table without a reservation might become quite challenging.
